Author Offers Clarification About Title of Upcoming Book

“Clap on!  Clap off!”

If you’re old enough to remember the television commercials featuring those four words repeated over and over again, you can take comfort in the fact that my upcoming second nonfiction book, THE CLAPPER MEMO, has nothing to do with “The Clapper®,” a sound-activated electrical device introduced to Americans in 1986.

Instead, THE CLAPPER MEMO has everything to do with subject matter far more serious and involves a man by the name of James R. Clapper Jr., the man President Barack Obama nominated to serve as our nation’s fourth Director of National Intelligence in 2010.  In that role, he serves as both the leader of the United States Intelligence Community and the principal intelligence advisor to the president of the United States.

THE CLAPPER MEMO is packed with never-before-published details gleaned from interviews of people who served in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Guantanamo Bay and Mexico, fighting in a little-known war now in its fourth decade.

Final edits are underway now.  To learn more about the book, click here.
